Justice Initiative participated with several allies at the Brave Mouvement Action Day in front of the European Parliament in Brussels on April 25, 2023.
Representatives of Justice Initiative, together with survivors and allies, gathered in the square in front of the European Parliament to form a human chain and to express solidarity with the proposed regulation to prevent and combat child sexual abuse.
European Commissioner Ylva Johansson and MEP Fabienne Keller also joined the demonstration: both expressed their support for the new legislation. There was also remote participation from all over the world from survivors and allies calling on the EU to take a bold stand for child safety.
The aim was to mobilise survivors and allies from around the world via social media to show broad support for the proposed EU regulation to prevent and combat child sexual abuse. The objective is to encourage member states, members of the European Parliament and other EU decision makers to support the proposed regulation.
