Together we can make a change
Together we can make a change
At the Justice Initiative we have seen the profound impact that sexual violence and abuse has on the lives of children who endured it.
The scale of the issue is only growing as perpetrators are able to harness the power of the internet. Children are now at risk of grooming and sexual abuse online, physical abuse in their homes and communities, and child sexual abuse material (CSAM) is circulating at an alarming rate.
We, together with the #bebraveeurope and #ChildSafetyON campaigns demand that the European Union takes a world-leading stance and votes in favour of the current EU proposal to better prevent and combat child sexual abuse, so that we can protect all children and have justice for survivors.
Together we can make the internet and Europe #safeforkids.
Our demands:
By signing our petition in support of the current EU proposal to better prevent and combat child sexual abuse, you support measures including:
- Imposing obligations on online service providers, including social media platforms, to prevent, detect and report child sexual abuse taking place on their services, and remove child sexual abuse material
- Strengthening the fight against child sexual abuse across the Europe
- Ensuring the necessary support and justice for victims and survivors of child sexual abuse
543,531 have signed to make the internet safe for kids and end child sexual abuse in the EU.
